Your First Visit

Visiting Dr. Perih is the first step toward keeping your smile, teeth and gums as healthy as possible. During your first visit, you will be asked to complete a comprehensive health questionnaire including medical, family, genetive and growth history. After reviewing this history, Dr. Perih will conduct a thorough examination to diagnose dental or facial irregularities. These findings will be explained and corrective treatment or preventive care will be recommended and digitally displayed for your understanding. Examinations are important because some irregularities may not be obvious. Whether you were born with dental or facial irregularities or, if you acquired them at some point in life, examination will allow Dr. Perih to take corrective action as soon as possible.

Consultation

After the doctor has evaluated your records, our treatment coordinator  will prepare an examination letter for both you and your general dentist, discussing your orthodontic needs. She will also explain your financial obligations and our various payment options, so that you may choose the plan that's best for you.

Appointments

The appointment when you get your appliances usually takes from 45 to 60 minutes. You will then see us at regular intervals 4 to 8 weeks apart for an adjustment, which takes anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes. Patients are usually seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients, and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, kindly give us 24 hours notice if possible. Cancel only if it is an emergency. It is difficult to reschedule you since most appointments are made 4 to 8 weeks in advance.
